Happy Fall!! I'm Back!!

Here's an unfinished post from July 23 . . .

Busy as a bee . . .

What happened to my good intention to post twice a week???  It has been nearly a month since my last post. My only excuse is that I have been as busy as a bee. :-) It’s not as if I didn’t have things to write about, but time just kept slipping by. It’s hard to believe that we are nearing the end of July.

So what has been keeping me busy? In June,  I went with 500 seniors for a cruise and luncheon on the Spirit of Boston which was great fun. Last week I went with seniors on a cruise to see the tall ships. Sail Boston 2026 was a wonderful event. Unfortunately, the day we went was Wednesday when the sky was a murky yellow brown from the smoke in the jet stream, and breathing alerts had been issued.  (There were 880 wildfires at that time burning across Canada.)

TODAY . . .  October 12th . . .

As  I have written many times, I live in the land of good intentions  The above partial post from July proves it. I did indeed fully intend to write at least one post each week. Why didn't that happen? Beats me. I did have things to write about and photos to share, but time gently rolled on . . .

The yucky skies did hamper the photos of the tall ships moored in Boston Harbor, but here are a few anyway. Below is the USS Constitution with the Bunker Hill Monument in the distance.

The Mayflower, a replica of the Pilgrim's ship, sailed up from Plymouth to take part in the parade of Sails.

Determined to get a photo of a tall ship with a healthier looking sky, I went to Marina Bay in Quincy on Sunday where one of the tall ships had docked for a few days after leaving Boston.

This artist allowed me to photograph her attempts to capture the scene.

So what else have I been up to? I spend lots and lots of time working on a quilt that was displayed at our recent guild show. I will do a separate post on that later this week. I also  dug up along the side of my garage to put in a  garden.

I have a new appreciation for Elmer Fudd and Mr. McGregor and their trials with rabbits as I, too, have continued to  deal with very cute but pesky rabbits. Grrrrr!!!!!!

Okay, that's it for now. Just letting you know that I'm fine, Emma is fine, and I'm finally getting my act together.  The cooler weather has perked Emma up, and we both enjoy our daily walks.

Thanks for reading and bye for now. . .
