Crazy Quilt - June Block

I have finished two more blocks for my crazy quilt project . . . Photos from My Grandmother's Album. This is my mother's mother. She was born in St. John's Newfoundland but was sent to live with an aunt in Braintree, Massachusetts, along with two brothers after the death of her parents when she was just three years old.

My grandmother is in the top left corner in the photo below.  There are twenty-five people, but who  they are I do not know.

  1. Janice, each of your crazy quilt blocks are beautiful. I especially liked the one of your grandmother. Do you have a stash of little trims? --Terry

  2. I have only been crazy quilting for a few years, but I have accumulated a nice little stash. There are so many beautiful threads available, and that is my weakness along with vintage buttons and laces. I love being at a guild meeting and having someone hand me a small bag and say, I thought you might be able to use these." You never know what treasures will be in the bag. It's lovely.

  3. Janice,
I think your blocks are lovely. Such a nice way to have memories in our work. If you would like a little goodie envelope from me send your address to Luann.fischer@icloud.com
I have quite a bit of laces and trims that I would be more than willing to cut some 6-12" lengths from. I, too, have people always handing me things and sometimes, it's way more than I'll ever use. I always make sure they're ok with me sharing it.
PS Terry, do you want some too?
